| On March 13th, 2025, I stood outside from 10:15 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. in 40 degree temperatures outside taking a few hundred photos of the Luunar Eclipse from the very beginning stage all the way into full eclipse totality. In order to make this photo look closer to what I envisioned, I used 3 separate images from the best photos I took. In order to achieve details on the eclipsed part of the moon, I had to open the shutter more to reveal more detail. In order to achieve details in the upper half that isn't in shadow from the earth, I had to lower the amount of light let into the camera's shutter. I really like how everything came together between the two halves of the moon, including the clouds that I captured around the moon. Speaking of clouds, I'm really happy that there was plenty enough break in the clouds this lunar eclipse. The last one, I couldn't see the moon for very long because there were too many clouds. I also didn't have as good of a camera back then. I like how the moon looks like it's on fire or about to explode, which is why I gave it the title MoonFerno. This other worldly looking photographic art piece would look cool in any room that has a space theme, or for anyone who enjoys the constellations. | ||
