I sculpted the original in wax, then melted it out from an outer ceramic shell I created from it, so that I can pour Bronze into the one time creation. I created this back in 1998-99 in a college level sculpting class. I have recently seen mermaids with dorsal fins on the internet which I'm not too surprised. Nothing that resembles part dolphin part human with the arms attached to the side of the body with flippers as hands as is seen in my creation to my own knowledge though. I gave her the name Dollphin for obvious reasons. Artistic/Creative license reserved and may recreate this in 3D model format later on.
